Lol tango not to worry a few members are running similar or the dreamscience induction kit which sits in the same position as this one and have had no problems, and you'd be surprised how deep in water the car would have to go, wouldn't drive it that deep in flooding etc

the dry charger wasn't necessary but i fitted it for peace of mind :)

Sits quite nicely near the original fog lamp usually sat which is a bonus :D

Looks ace. Don't worry about how low it sits, GTi-6 induction kits sit even lower and there were only a few numpties a year that managed to hydrolock their engines on the forum due to sheer stupidity.

Love the sound.

Think Brake upgrade and a Bilstein set of shockers or a set of coilovers will be next

No i think your right, i never planned to get massive brakes, but need a better way to deal with heat and wear over standard, so im feeling some good pads and grooved discs to help dissipate heat and some better fluid to avoid boiling, racing dot 4 or 5.1??

Just a change of brake fluid can help no end!! That matched with descent pads and discs will be more than enough!!

Plonked the car on Surrey RR with Focus STOC today see what the car is upto and how its running today and things are an improvement, but its Running abit rich possibly an air leak post turbo?

Gonna have to research/get it looked into at some point

Image

Not it was not clean lol drove there straight from work, sounds immense on the rolling road 8-)

Image

This is with the standard cat and the fueling issue, Operator reckons its a 300-310bhp car with those 2 issues sorted, RS injectors would help further

286.6bhp no printout for torque but line on the graph suggests around 345lb/ft

Still im happy with that, need to get more done when next year arrives

Also any ideas on the fuel running rich? (dyno operator suggested air leak post turbo) Not clued up lol

Air leak post turbo would make sense. Engine thinks x amount of air about to get jammed in by turbo and fuels for it but it only gets a bit less as its leaking therefore more fuel than air so running rich.

Could be a sensor issue also, would be worth getting a code read done to see if any sensors are showing issues.

That's a nice power curve Ade. I'd assume it was the map simply running rich as standard due to safety precautions against knock, seen it be the sole cause of many other other cars running plug-in maps that then go on to have a custom tune developed with nothing else changed. Could be other things but I wouldn't worry as it's not dangerously off in my barely-educated opinion (i.e. take what I say with a pinch of salt ;) )

My AFR was between 12.5 and 13.7 for quite a few months when I whacked on a totally different bottom end and it was fine.

Not as rich as i was sexpecting. Below 11 is abit low, i would be expecting 11.5 - 12 across the board .

Looking good though ;)

Found this http://www.angelfire.com/pro2/rst/air_f ... g_tips.htm which makes yours look spot on top end but just a bit rich bottom to mid.

As said likely a safety thing with standard map.
Proper rolling road tuning will likely eek a bit more power out and sort out the afr but is it worth the huge cost for gain? Probably not.

Caveat here, I didn't fully read te linked article but what I did read supported all of the above.

Would be worth checking for any air leaks post turbo just to rule out though :)
