Starter motor:
The threaded stud nearest the radiator has two ring crimps on it, one large and one larger. There is then a cable with a crimped on nut which goes to the lower stud.

Alternator:
I can't remember off the top of my head, but dont get it wrong as thats how I fried my last one!!
