heater sounds like the heater matrix is blocked.
Never done it myself, but by all accounts its a cunt to change, Haynes makes it look easy though ;)

ta so recaro's I think it will be in a little while time. btw when you say the heater materx might be blocked what part is that? inside by the dash or under the bonnet behind the scuttle panel? cheers!

Inside, under the dash. It sits next to your left foot when you take your foot off the clutch and stick it on the floor.

It's basically a small radiator like the one at the front that the coolant flows through. Then, when you pick hot, the air is forced over it to warm the air up rather than cool the coolant down if you know what I mean?

As for seats, notice a mint pair just gone up in parts for £150. Steal at that price :)

right small update. found the water problem i think and that was the sunroof leaking. there was a kink in one of the pipes. also the 'mine field' windscreen (yes thats the nickname 6 major chips leading into small cracks and about 10 very ninor chips plus scratches!) is getting replaced by autoglass on thursday. and they have a offer on so i get some new wipers thrown in. so that should do.
also the heater still isn't done so i'll have to do that. theres not like a seperate heater thermostate is there? never heard of it before till someone mentioned it.?

right mended the heater! (whay can see where i'm driving!) and found out what that annoying little noise is.... both the arch liners were slightly loose after keep driving through foot and a half water! any how getting there... screen thursday.....

I've always wondered what would happen if when you phoned up and they ask if its heated you said yes and it wasnt.

Would they just fit the heated one for you if yo asked them too??

na ben just nice clear screen and thats it. don't like looking at the 'little lines' in the glass. plus the fan heaters working now so no need :lol:

right couple of near future plans;

full service (yer recon thats due)
new shorter starter motor
and exhaust heat wrap the manifold and the cat to keep the gasses flowing and cat hotter....
exhaust paste and re align the exhaust as well whilt i'm at it. and actually get some pictures...

Will be good to see if you notice anything after putting on your wrap. Just a word of caution, make sure you don't have any oil leaks where your exhaust is!

Need to fit my wrap too at some point.
