It's not the end of the world, only a few hundred quid if that, so my "done" is just as close as it ever was. Smart arse :P

Agreed, you just have to look at it that way. :)

It's barely the end of the world. I've had both rear arches cut out, completely uprated every god damn suspension bush on my car and had an engine blow up, so I think I can handle this

Cheers guys. Wouldn't mind something that spooled up a little quicker and had more flow, but my 2.5" exhaust may make the potential gains a little futile. I'm going to have a chat with a few experts as ever.

I'm thinking end of Jan to be fair Ben. Start of Jan for Donny.

What does everyone thing of these Alloys by the way? (would want them refurbished of course..)

Image

Wedsports TC05 alloy wheels. Staggered sizes, 15x6.5 +30 , and 15x7 +30. - 4.8kg a wheel.

Yeah it's a 2.5" true mandrel bent system, but very quiet! I need to get a flow chart of it to see what it can work with.

I'd go for a dark bronze colour. I am actually bidding on some other 16" alloys as we speak though, as the plan is to respray my current 15"s and fit some semi-slicks.

I've mostly focused on the mechanical side of things, and although everything is coming together, I want it to start looking the part as well, and not the shed it looks like on a day to day basis.

First stop, wheels. :)

They look quite similar to standard dc2 wheels!

Yeah they do. The Enkei wheels you posted up only came on 96 spec JDM tegs as they are 15" but 4 stud, the ones below are replica 96 wheels for 5 stud 98's and UKDM's. Probably made by "Sprint". They do suit it though. if it ain't broke. :)

Woohoo, fixed the issues I was having.

It wasn't what I fully expected. 2 totally separate issues at the same time. There's a metal collar between the housing and turbine that was loose, so I tightened this up until there was no movement and thought the issue was solved. Went for a drive, less noise occurring but still a major problem somewhere as the knocking was terrible.

So jacked the car up, took the front wheels off and inspected all the bushings and bolts, and scarily all 3 of the bolts connecting the N/S Hardrace lower arm bush to the chassis were 1/3rd their way off!!! :O Re-tightened them to 89 NM/66 LBF-FT. I'll need to locktight them up methinks. Also found that my O/S Hardrace ARB boot has broken and they are less than a year old (in fact just over 6 months!) so awaiting for some new different aftermarket replacements for free.

Anyway, went for another drive it and it was perfect. No more rattles and much more responsive steering. Scary how that happened all of a sudden, as I'd only had my car professionally checked and geo'd a few months ago.

So hopefully all is well with the turbo after all :D

Glad the problems are sorted! It is mad how stuff like that can happen - with regards to the bolts. Deffo needs something on them to stop that happening again!
