thanks Paul :squint: i reckon i could do a good job with a welder :wack: you are right, it does seem to sit quite high, but its mounted correctly, and luckily i have bonnet raisers so if it does, they will sort the job out :)

hmm yeah, but when i removed the rad off the old engine i brought it out the front where it would be? not the end of the world if i have to tbh, just a pain lol! because when i get the rad, that will probably be the last thing i do before i start her up! :(

i hope your right. but then again, nothing is ever easy is it! hows the rs? havent seem many updates recently!?


Just did an hours worth of work before work. got the other bolt in the cradle thanks to the advice i recieved :) so its all secure. then set about getting the drive shaft out. came out fairly easily. any idea on how much replacement units are?
any advice on getting the rubber hose away from the brake line where they join? ive losened the nut but its stopped turning? even whilst holding the valve on the end of the pipe?

pads and discs have loads of beef on them so anybody with a standard si and they are yours free of charge!
