i had a very slight rattle / light squeek noise, a bit annoying, i had the rear quater plastic out a bit of the way to see what it was, im pretty sure it might be shock absorber noises, or rear seatbelt noises?

Either way its not exactly a common fault, so just strip out various parts, until you get closer to the place of the sound, i'd also get a mate to sit in the back with a screw driver, drive down a dodgy road and get him to strip bits out as you drive along, see if you can find it on roadtest.

cures for rattles:
foam, or sticky foam pads - used to stick number plates on, or even bubble wrap / insulation foam.

If you find a problem with a doorcard or rear quater panel, sometimes you may need to remove clips from the backside of these trim pieces / or modify the brackets so as they dont squeek within the door holes itself.

Either way from above: strip bits out, maybe even take the rear bench out (i think its only a couple of bolts/screws?)

as for the boot losen of the hook latch the one thats fixed to the back pannel n push it down tighten up n c if thats any better as for the steering its a commen thing with all zetecs realy its just play in the rack if it gets worse it might fail the m.o.t my racks been like that ever since i bought it 3-4 year ago
