Hello, been a while since i updated this as i have been mega skint! anyway to start with my dad got rid of his megane and got a bran new 62 plate c max titanium so he said i could rip out the parrot bluetooth from the megane and have it, so i did just that

Was abit of a pain trying to fit the megane harness into my audi but i figured it out in the end with abit of wire swapping around. Such a good bit of kit with voice activation so i can ask it to call somebody and it will!

Also on my list of things to do to the car was fit cruise control but i hit a pit and found out my car didnt have the compatible steering wheel control module so i would have to replace that at a cost of £200+ from the dealer and £187 from ebay!!!!! luckly i came across a badly listed cruise control kit on ebay stating at 99p. it came with the s/w control module that supports cruise and multi function S/W, cruise control stalk, cruise control steering cowling, steering wheel slip ring that allows me to fit a facelift audi S/W, electric window motor two wiper stalks and a s/w wiring loom. all these parts were genuine audi and new in there boxs and mount up to over £500 if bought from audi. i won them for £58 delivered so this will be getting fitted in afew days ready for my weekend to devon

Cheers danny, yeah its getting there, should be fitting the cruise control tomorrow if my 12mm spline socket turns up to remove the steering wheel! Only two other things I want fitting inside the car and that's the Audi rnse navigation unit and auto headlights and wipers. Then need some new wheels!

Good job on the cruise control, iam finding iam using mine a lot on the motorway these days.

Steadys my MPGS and gives my right foot a brake, just sit back and relax abit down the M6 like being in an armchair.

Mines pretty much specd out too, only thing mines missing is auto dimming mirror and rain sensors which were rare. Don't think auto lights were an option on mine but iam going to look and see if any mk4 golfs had them and maybe retro fit my own

Bit of an update on this.

A started to fit all the cruise parts, stripped all my steering column apart and fitted all the cruise parts. Plugged in the VCDS only to find out the module was the bloody low line module and not a high line one as advertised!!!!! So wasn't cruise compatible. I emailed the seller immediately o explain the situation and immediately he said he will mot refund me. I was in a dispute with him for over a week untill I could escalate the case to customer support. Was able to escalate to customer support and with 30 mins they said I could have a full refund and the seller has been banned from eBay! So the search begins again for a cruise module

On the plus side, my drive to Devon went well, averaged 52mpg on the way doing 60-70 all the way which isn't bad for a heavy v6 convertible! On the way back averaged 48mpg but was in a hurry to get home lol

Hi there,

When I bought my bits for adding cruise to my B7 A4 2.0 TDi the best way I found to do it was go to ebay.de and seach for 8e0 953 549 and look for one which has the right letter at the end.
Can't remember which one you need but N or Q stick in my mind.

Just make sure you end up on the German ebay site and your laughing for VAG bits if you know the VAG product code.

Cheers fella, I've been searching eBay UK and de since this guy screwed me over and had no luck, every module I find is either an S or R which are both incompatible with cruise. Listing came up today for a Q module and cruise stalk for £25 delivered with a year's watrenty on eBay UK so I snapped that up

Surprisingly no, I dont seem to have many pics of the B7.
I shall remedy this and put some up though. Selling it shortly so will be getting pics for that anyway, but will fire some up for ya

thats what i thought, i had to message the guy to double check it was for both! as it was listed as just and indercater stalk with the module part number but in the photo it had the module with the cruise stalk and indercater stalk attached. was only listed 10 mins before clicked buy!

ok cool, i get slightly gelious of the b7 front end as my budget when buying this didnt stretch to the b7 price range.

So here i go it starts again, cruise module and stalk turned up today. All looks good this time, seller with over 1000 feedback, comes with a warrenty and has the part number sticker still attached unlike the other one i bought that i got scammed with (paypal refunded me fully) i will have this fitted tomorrow and see if it all works ok!

I remember when Isis mines and did all the VCDS coding then bricked it cause the steering warning light was still on. That was a scary five minutes drive until that cleared off

I've got a load of pics from when I did the change as I started writing a guide for it.

Take it you've got DIS already? I added tht and cruise at the same time.

Still got the old module and bottom cover, need to get them on eBay sometime

Cheers mate, yeah i have full DIS already which is handy. Cool, yeah i have photos up to removing the module as thats when i found out the seller had sent me the wrong one as i was going to do a guide for the audi-sport forum! Really want a b7 MFSW but they seem to sell for silly money on ebay. Yeah i had that when i fitted all mine back together when i stripped it the first time, my esp/tcs light was lit for about 3 miles and i thought id screwed up something

I've seen a couple sitting at around £50 Buy it now as I was thinking about one before I decided to sell.

Although thinking, dont know if that included airbag as you would need that but I think it did... in fact, lemme go have a look... ok, so i must have been looking without airbag in mind as i have one but this is the cheapest I can see but obvioulsy need airbag. I cant find the one I had seen as I swear it had a bag because i wondered what the hell I would do with a spare one LOL!!

Yeah that seems like a good price but as you say ill need the airbag aswell as mine won't fit the b7 wheel, I think with airbag the cheapest I usually come by are around £250-300, seen a couple of airbags on their own for about £100 but they all seem to be beige or dark blue and ill need black. Not willing to spend over £150 really as its not really a huge upgrade for the money! Lol think a remap will come next though need a bigger intercooler aswell
