Turns out you'll have to wait. Cv joints supplied have awful clips, one has a wrong size boot (seriously) and one had an important clip missing.

Not even joking with the cable tie comment though, they work perfectly, easily replaced if need be, so much less hassle than the gay clips. I've had cable ties on my car pretty much since I got it nearly 3 years ago, only ever replaced them once - due to engine change. My old fiesta had cable ties for 2 years too. Good ol' cable ties! lol

Notice the extra feature :)

I also refitted the S Brace, tracked up the wheels with the string method and gave it a decent drive. Clutch is nice and in the middle, not too light, not too heavy. Jerky as fook between second and third though, could be the EGR removal. Tracking is spot on, getting pretty good at it now. With a straight road it goes bullet straight. The new wishbones seem to show a hell of a lot of bump steer though, it's weird to explain.

The EGR (it's not actually called that, it's Pulse Air System) and it injects air pulses into the exhaust to reduce the NOx emissions. It's a cheat by Ford and it doesn't do that much to affect it and it affects the exhaust. Minimal gains (ie. tiny) and it's just some crap on there that most people remove.

Bump steer is when one front wheel goes over a bump and because of the geometry of the front steering when the wheel goes up, it also turns out. Hence bump steer.

Got the deflectors from Tweek on ft. I like them. Need to de-scratch them and also get replicas of the ford markings made as they're very worn.

Oh yeah. Next thing to do is square it up for the MOT. Pretty sure it'll fail, no idea on what though. Then for a Xmas pressie get some bloody coilovers and get it dooooooowwwwwn.

Those wishbones are febi items. The rubbers look so much more solid and durable than anything I've seen. I can feel how much better they are when driving it.

One other thing to sort is is maybe the drivers front wheel bearing as I'm pretty certain that is the cause of an annoying but not yet possibly dangerous noise.
