rust: west german ones have a better quality of steel, more carbon in it apparently, plus they dont sit in an inch or two of salty water when the thames gets a bit high, ford owns a big lot near the river where it keeps cars, this ocassionally gets a puddle of salt water over it, so ive been told....

rev limiter: british ones have one, german ones dont, they just keep going till yer engine goes bang!

a plate under the bonnet also states "british" in big letters, and a lot of the parts are stamped britain and or england.

tell me if im wrong!

Sell your Ford and buy something that isnt made of rust when it comes out the factory. :lol: They're infamous for it and the Fiesta is no exception. Just make sure it's always clean, thats about the best you can do. Take out the arch liners and clean behind those two or three times a year, especially after winter.

Maybe next week I'll jack my GTi up. All the wheels of, all the arch liners out and clean everything. Then I'll hammer the underside of the car with dad's work's steam wash they use on the lorries :lol:

my 1.4 was england but my 1.6 was spic, have a look on all the trim for markings. rear clusters are country stamped. :)
