also the pas pump pipes arent the same on the 1.4 the green plug u see in the pic is meant to go on top of cam cover the pumps main pipe doesnt look like its in the right place either for a zetec convo

please Danny. will the rating depend on which one it is? but yeah that would be grand, then i can get it tomorrow as i cant be arsed looking for a second hand one then fannying about with postage etc!

EDIT-cheers phil. brilliant. yeah i noticed that like but i was thinking to disconnect the pipe at the pump and swap the pipe from the 1.4si pump to the 1.6si one? therefore i dont have to piss around swapping all the pas over. what you reckon?

Different alternators give out different ratings, although, i think most of the zetec ones are the same. But if you get a standard one (think its 90amps - that number is in my head) then it'll be fine.

picture of the set up on the zetec phil yeah? i have everything to convert. but i dont want to need to lol. i dont understand how it could effect it?

if i can run the piping round it like you said (i know they take different paths but surely i can bend and manipulate the piping to work around (i have a pipe bender)) then i cant see there being an issue?

reconditioned but 2 day turn around time and it definetely works.

ill be using the 1.6 pump phil that came from paul... my 1.4si pump had a small leak anyway so it would make sense. yeah ill make it fit if not ill try swap them round somehow.

erm i mock fitted it, didnt seem to line up but i didnt try too hard as pas fluid was pissing all over me lol so couldnt be arsed trying too hard but ill try tomorrow again. it all came from Paul so i know it will fit buddy

lol sorry bud thats my fault. literally put it up there as reference so people could see how i would run the piping. i got a 1.6 one from paul but its buggered (pulley doesnt turn the alt at all, just siezed) the one i tried fitting which isnt correct came on the engine i bought but it was non pas when i got it which explains why it doesnt fit lol

thanks chaps. alternators been ordered. should be a couple of days..

take back a part to ford that was incorrect

send of calipers

send of brake lines if i have time to get them off!

spray up mounts and use poly flex to get them nice and hard

fingers crossed there should be a nice big update by the end of this week!

i got rid of loads of zetec alts a month or so back as well
