hopefully hun ;)

just got the pulley i needed of sjoyce! nice one bud.

also got my new steering wheel :) and some non setting gasket jointing compound.

so i can now build my alt bracket up and get that on the engine and also get my new aux belt on, my clutch and then gearbox then the engine is ready to go in :)

quick question. can i use the pulley for the PAS pump from my 1.4?

right chaps. update time (please note that the pictures aren't resized due to the reason that you guys need to be able to see the detail!)

firstly. the alt bracket is now on the engine! however. i cant seem to attach the alternator up properly...

2nd issue is the pas pump.
can i use my old pas pump, set up? as in this

the only reason i say is the new pump and piping i got from paul wont match up with mine. guessing the resevoir or whatveer was relocated in his si.
so ill swap the pumps over and the pulley (as the pulleys are slightly different) and keep the piping the same. (EDIT-just seen a pic of a 2.0l from the angle and i see why the piping is slightly different as its redirected around the alt bracket the other way whereas on the 1.4si its the opposite way.)

and finally, the engine bay. ive painted the bottom half and valance with black hammerite on a brush and sprayed the top half/struts with hammered black hammerite...

wrong alternator mate thats the early zetec one for use with zetecs without pas, it may look the same but trust me its not, the metal bracket you have is for the alternator both of which you cannot use when having power steering

I've found a mk3.5 Ghia 1.6 16v zetec in the scrapers. I could see if the alternator bracket is on that. I take it you need a pas one?

Any other bits you'd like that I can quickly grab?

94/95 mk3 1.6 si/rs1800/1.8 xr2i with power steering. amperage rating is the one thing you need to know. i am away for the whole weekend until monday afternoon buttttttttt i might be popping back later so if i do i will have a look at the rating on my old spare/broke alternator and let you know what it is.
