Yes i have managed to fix the bonnet so i can keep tab on fluids, so im back in, will send you money now Ry, cant wait, i get the feeling on a sprint track for me wont be so fun as i have 300bhp to power down straights and there is really only one

You won't wear out anything on your car. It will be very mild work compared to a track! Still have over half life on my tyres, and that's with doing Mallory nearly a year ago as well. I'll be the same though Ade, but I don't have anywhere near 300bhp

I'll have my GoPro with suction mount. And a laptop. Will need an in-car USB charger though to keep it topped up as I got rid of my electric/cigarette socket to fit the gauges...

I think it will be a fun day though as we should have complete control of the track

Hi Guys

Well what a conundrum! Just spoken to David the course secretary and it seems he has double booked us with a Lancia club that he booked last year sometime. I thought it was a little odd that he didn’t come back to me earlier in the week from my voicemail but I guess he was deliberating on what to do.

Anyway, he’s going to speak to the Lancia club to see if they are fine with sharing the track day with us. If they are happy to share, this means is 2 things:

1. 13 cars goes up to 23 cars so less track time (but still enough)
2. We only need to pay half (well, just over half as it’s our 13 to their 10) so you get nearly half of your money back.

How does everyone feel about this?

Of course if they do not want to share, it should be our track day again as we are meeting them halfway with the situation.

Oh, did I tell you I hate organising things?

Yeah everyone will still have decent time on the track. I am quite annoyed but in the same breath these things happen. Plus it will be cheaper for everyone

The other guys coming on the list don't mind if the Lancia people come or not - good competition! Also they are true in that most of them will probably breakdown by the morning session

Is this trackday full helmet wearing jobby and taped lights etc? got some ground rules? (yes im lazy)

I think its actually optional on the helmet part! I will wear one anyway.

Just spoke to David AGAIN. Guess what! He still hasn't spoken to the other people...

He did mention that we would start earlier and continue the day on possibly longer than usual, but it's so up in the air Still. However from the feeling I get, we may end up having way more track time. So something to note - people coming from a long distance, it may be worth planning on leaving earlier! If you prefer, I can easily sort out for any of you (Chris/Ade?) to stay at mine the night before as it's less than 10 minutes from the track and you won't have a long morning. We have two spare rooms.

I will keep you posted. Feel slightly gutted for the Monte Carlo lot who have yet to even found out about all of this. Poor beggers!
