Bad misfire and heavy white smoke. At first i thought that it might be the coilpacks or the cat, but also noticed some collant loss in the tank but it doesnt apper to be leaking, this might explain the white smoke.

Hmm its had a new water pump, headgasket, leads and plugs only 6000 miles ago

fuck it get a new 1.4 TSI engine and fit that

on a different note, thinking about changing the headlights to some Morette Hella leveling headlights, as the aftermarket ones thats on there look ok but dont fit that well and give horrid light. There £360 but watching some on ebay thats at £26 at the min. give it a more 90's retro look aswell i reckon

Managed to get one coilpack for £27, put it on and alternate the 2nd one with the 2 old ones i took off and no difference so iam guessig its not them. Either the cat, or a waterpump or headgasket issue, engines shaking like shit too so think the gearbox mounts are on the way out too.

Looking to sorting piper cams if i find a good price on one and new cylinder head over the weekend. Should see some small gains on the cams as the old ones had it, 8hp on the cams should put it to 94bhp which I thinks pretty impressive for a 1.25

After another years insurance thinking about getting a punto gt3 and switching the engine and loom over to the cab. 130bhp standard with 0-60 around 7.9 I think.

Having said that the misses is eyeballing a new golf mk7 cabriolet.

picked up a set of genuine morette lights for the punto for a more 90's retro look. The current black halo ones look ok but are a poor fit and let off poor light

Dephaser, timing belt kit, aux belt kit. takes 4 hours. with £300+ worth of tools.

Not having an arguement about it thanks. I had fun with my ZS regardless of how many engines I went through, you make it out to be worse than it was, and it was my money to spend how I wanted and I quite enjoyed the experience it gave me.

I'd rather not spam this thread, or have an argument on the one site that I actually enjoy posting on, so don't ruin that for alright?
