With flexi pipe and k&n I should supposedly see 156-160bhp. With both mods my last st failed to make standard power but that engine was shite. Ideally need a Mani and cat back then a stage 2 bluefin. I want to get to 170bhp cheaply. Which should be possible. I'd be happy with that figure.

Got a eBay special dash bezel, optional extra I had on my last one. Makes the interior a nicer place to be;

Never seen this before. Didn't notice it until I got home. Can only see it in certain light, or feel it bounce! The vinyl trim has lifted off the door card, other side is fine. Ffs.

Ford only made the pre- facelift st for less than a year, the older door cards have vents on the top for the window demisters. I thought I'd have to pay out but eBay turned up a single door card for 8.99! Win! Probably fucked. We will see.

Enjoying driving a car that doesn't clunk, rattle or feel like a kit Kat wrapper with wheels.

Couple of years later.
8000 unloved miles.
4 flat tyres.
Not been washed or hovered since I had it.
Not been serviced.
Oil at bottom of the dipstick (this car even says how much it has in it when you turn the ignition ffs!)
Dented bonnet.
Trolley dent in door

On a plus note;
I know where its been.
Its had some work under the bonnet.
Is straight.

Cost me £200 notes to buy it back. I've a double garage now. The saxo will be getting some love.
I initially thought track car but there is only 1100 vts' left on the road. I doubt many are two tone.

It will be a resto. A poor attempt and a slow one.

Needs some love;
Steering rack gaitors.
Track rod ends. Again.
Abs sensor.
Driveshaft.
Tyres that stay up.
A full service.
Sadly the rear beam is on the advisory list. I'm going to strip it and see if the bearings have worn the stubs. If OK new bearings will suffice.
The only mods will be the current exhaust and induction. The handling is sublime without lowering it?????
Interior is good bar bolster wear to one seat.
Needs a good detail.
Probably rotten under the ECU.

Drives like its meant to. Awesome. Progress will be slow. Baby in 14 weeks.

Sat on my drive for three months. Lost heart. Banged it in the garage. Mullered the seat subframes, obtained some free 4 point harnesses, some free cobra Monaco's, bypassed the airbag light, tape over the abs light, pulled the rear seats out, removing a fair bit of interior.

Track day Anglesey 22nd feb

Saxo ready for mot. Just can't be arsed to get round to having the tracking done and punctures repaired.

Seats in. Harnesses in. Serviced. Gti 180 brake upgrade. Flat battery from lack of use.

Also bagged a fiesta ST with 70k miles, full mot and new tyres for £2k today. Off my mother. Gave her our ford ka which is being traded in on Thurs if I don't sell it first.
