Spoke to Peter at GEARS today, and it looks like it may be the selector pawl thats gone, Its jammed in reverse which was handy to get it off the trailer and into the garage

Im going to take off the end casing tonite and have alook, if i cant see anything obvious its coming out tonite, and ill get it back down for repair

Peter has been great , and says they will get it sorted right away, and theyll cover it if need be, so that will do for me

Ok so box was stuck in reverse, and took the end casing off to check what was happening, nothing obvious, removed the reversing damper, and allowed the gearbox to come out of reverse, but the selector aint doing anything soo....................

gearbox is now out and sitting on a pallet and will be sent down for inspection and repair , will be back in shortly, and ive got a wee list of things to change and improve for Ford Fair

When its finsihed it will be as good a the Fiesta hopefully. Its another long journey, but Ive got a plan for next year , so this is the first step

if the Fiesta doesnt sell Im not worried, Ill put into storage and resurect the car in a couple of years and enjoy it again

i just drove the car very briefly, I picked it up with the trailer, but feels good, has BC coilovers which are front camber adjustable, Gt28R turbo , rebuilt engine and box, intercooler with hard pipe upgrade etc........

It will be a stripped out car with poly windows, 6 piont cage, bucket seats harnesses, slicks etc............ so should be good out on the track

If the Fiesta doesnt sell Im not bothered, ill stick it away, but ideally id like it to go to someone for them to enjoy, its a hell of a car. Im booked on track for Ford Fair, but the Focus wont be ready, if Fiesta doesnt sell Ill take that on track, and put for sale signs on teh car, cant get better advertising than that , one of the biggest shows in the Uk spanking much more powerful cars on track all day

well thats the gearbox all repaired , and just been delivered to IMSYs garage, he will drop it off tonite, and ill get it fitted over the wekend, then off to get the carbs balanced on weddnesday ready for Ford Fair

Ive got to say a big big thanks to Peter at GEARS who true to his word , repaired the box free of charge, and covered the courier costs to have the box sent up and down the country, now thats what you call service

The Focus is now making some progress, started stripping out the trim in readiness for advertising, ordered my 14 piont safety devices rollcage which will arrive in 8 weeks time, and the car is going for a full respray on Friday , as theres some bits Im not happy with.

I drove the car for the first time yesterday, and it feels very very quick just going up through the gears, will be a hell of a track car when its all complete

next step is order the polycarb windows from ACW plastics, get the EBC yellow stuff pads, goodridge hoses and brake fluid, oil cooler and sandwich plate ordered, then its seats harnesses fire extinguisher, scanguage steering wheel, the list goes on and on

A guy I know found out I was selling the Fiesta who owns a powder coating company Custom Coatings, and he wants to do powdercoating on the Focus FOC in excahnge for some stickers on the car, so he will be doing the wheels, suspension, underbonnet bits for me when it comes back from the body shop in 2 weeks time
