Poll time:
A few of you may know that I'm going abroad in the shitbox in a few weeks.
I planned on doing 4 laps of the ring for a few euros on the way home.
However.....
First I read this page:
http://nurburgring.org.uk/beginners.phpthat put me off more than slightly.
Then it turns out that no UK insurer will cover you for driving on the Nurburgring despite it being a public road on touristenfahrten days (open toll road days) . The European powers that be say otherwise but the UK insurance industry has a get out clause by putting a disclaimer in your terms and conditions. You agree to these by taking out the policy.
http://bridgetogantry.com/2/index.php/n ... ient-truthSo the fact is I'm not covered, directline say so. If I pang the car and hit some some barriers I'm in for a mega bill, If I hit another car i'm fooked.
Anyone been? what did you do?
Was looking forward to it but now i'm worried
ta.
