As alot of you would have seen on facebook that i have been wrapping my partners Audi A3, i used to do this as a living years ago. anyway im happy with the outcome of my work but not about my partners colour choice

With all the rain this has taken me 20 hours, 15m of Matt Pink Vinyl and £70. DVLA dont need to know as its classed as a temp colour change

Intersting! I think.. I might give it a go! Wrapping aint easy but I reckon I could do it with patience lol if not its only £40.

I'm thinking matte dark grey.

Think me and Danny are gonna have a crack at it, I did most of my roof, i'll leave the matt black roof on there and we'll do the rest! Mirrors are the only pain in the arse!

Mirrors are a nightmare but again using the right amount of heat they are alright to do. thankgod my partner wanted to keep hers body colour to go with the roof

yeah thats how we did my roof so wondering if it was a good idea or not, will use it for the bonnet then if needed but just heat for the rest.

Ahhhhh its going to be fun.. Gonna be sooooo much work though lol

once you know how to work the vinyl your be fine doing it dry. with your doors just hold the vinyl up to the door but not touching and the squeegy the middle on and then work up while someone holds the vinyl tight from the top and then the same with the bottom front wings and rear quarters, tack on at the top and the heat the whole sheet of vinyl while someone holds the sheet tight, when the vinyl has heated and gone smooth pull ot over the whole wing and it should shape to the wing due to the heat making the vinyl like elastic then squeegy down. dont try and work any of it down it you have a ripple in the winyl as it will just turn into a nasty crease!

Oh and remove anything that can be taken off, bumpers, lights, handles otherwise your get a horrid finish. We left the rear bumper on as it was a paint to remove but handles, front bumper, lights came off oh and door trim, i just tucked the vinyl under the rear quarter window rubber to get a good finish
