Took my JVC stereo back out of the sportka. and stuck it in the ignis to replace the crappy clarion one!

had this one in my fiesta and arosa.

sounds much better than the clarion one! and doesnt rattle! oh and it looks nicer. i want a double DIN really though.

but it still skips when i hit bumps :doh: bloody hard suspension lol although it done the same in my fiesta with coilovers and the lowered arosa. but it was fine in the sportka, and thats got a fairly hard ride as standard.

anyway its an improvement over the clarion one, which had a mind of its own! lol

good news as well UPS emailed me earlier to say the Whiteline arb will be delivered tommorow!

Whiteline 22mm Heavy duty rear anti roll bar arrived today.

once again thanks to paul dolan from partbox for sorting out a great deal on these!

havent got it fitted yet, was gona do it tonight but its a bit wet out and didnt have a big enough bar to undo the rear radius arm bolts.

will try and get it done in work tommorow.

anyway i put it all together to have a look, this is how it looks.

fitted my whiteline rear arb on the ramp tonight after work.

was a little harder than the one on the arosa. took me about an hour.

mainly because the radius arm bolts were tight as hell!! snapped the O/S one! so had to find some more. luckily got brand new ones in stock in work lol needed longer ones anyway (im sure they were supposed to be in the kit but wasnt?)

also had to bend the brake pipe brackets out the way.

anyway got it on..

so far i havent pushed it too much as the nearly worn out yoko paradas are absolutely crap in this wet weather. lol been having a bit of understeer. although it is very slippery out.

but theres definately less roll. and the back end feels more planted now.

zs and sportka beam is basically the same.

stick a mk3 rear arb on it!

Just Fitted a pair of 195/50/15 Toyo Proxes4s to the front of the ignis after wearing the paradas out after 6000miles! lol

you dont hear of them much as the T1-R is toyos flagship model.

but i thought i`d give them a go, and will let you know how they do!

i have them cheap mate, as i work for a toyo dealer :halo: lol

they are normally around £37- £45 quid each, depends where you go.

camskill got good deals on toyos at the moment..

they feel pretty much the same as the T1Rs. i dont think they look as good though, now i got them on the car they look like a budget tyre pattern imo.

they still grip well in both wet and dry, much better than paradas in the wet lol, especially towards he end, i had it spinning in 4th once lol.

got a bit of an update ill do now, ive spent a few hundred quid on her again this month, got her running lovely now with more power! :devil: lol

one with my mate 2.2 race tuned pinto`d sierra and my works impreza turbo.

was an awesome day, no ignis' out though, although i seen a yellow widearched ignis rally car on the back of a trailer on the M4 while i was out and about in the works van the other week. i believe it was graham middletons old 1400 class one he rallied in the btrda championship, its got a 1400 vauxhall motor in it. the new owner is from south wales and has painted it yellow, its not finished yet though.
this is the car im talking about


was built by harry hockley motorsport.

after the rally my dad took to the drivers seat, and we took it over 50 miles of twisty A and B roads, brought back memories for my dad as it used to be his car lol he loves driving it and he was quite impressed how it handles with the omp strut brace and whiteline roll bar fitted on it, he did think it felt a bit flat though...

anyway back onto my ignis.
as some of you know ive had to extend my lambda sensor cables for the 4-1 manifold.
and since then in the wet weather the car has had flatspotting problems and lack of power, the wetter the weather the worse it seemed to be.
i had a feeling it was the lambda sensor wiring all along, and the fact i had a cheapy ebay universal sensor in there,but tried a few cheaper options 1st like changing the open cone to a pipercross panel filter, as the cone was getting wet, so thought it could be that.

anyway i put up with it for a while, never had any joy by changing the air filter etc, so i made a plan to fit New sensors and have the manifold modified so i could retain the original sensors without extending the cables.

so had the manifold modified with a new lambda sensor boss at longlife exhausts like this.

i know its not the ideal place to put the sensor, but ive spoken to plenty of people with manifolds like this, on ignis' and other cars and even seen a supercharged swift sport have the sensor in the same place. and nobody has said that it has caused problems for them.

i ordered two new OE Spec Denso lambda sensors, these are expensive! they cost well over £100 each from suzuki and around £95 quid from motor factors.
i managed to find the rear one from car parts 4 less for £78 and the front one is marked up for a 1.3 ignis and 1.6 liana and that came from an ebay seller for £68 delivered.

and now the car is running superbly! much more power throughout the rev range, it runs perfect in dry weather and wet weather! im so happy with it now! lol i want to stick it back on the dyno now and see how much its pushing now.

only thing i will say though, is it seems to get faster the hotter you get it, which its used to be like before, a few of the local lads have told me theirs is the same, but the lads in work say thats to do with the fueling because its de-catted, so a remap will probs help that and tie all the mods together.
