Right car is booked in for a cambelt tommorow and I am not doing the headgasket.

Reason being its an extra £500 everywhere which is a massive rip off for something thats only leaking a bit of oil, i'd rather the headgasket went tbh and buy a new engine for less than that! I can cope with putting a bit of oil in now and again, we've sealed up the rocker cover and I will see if that was where most of the leak was coming from.

Been out for an investigation with dad, can see the drips coming off a bolt near the crankshaft seal, so will inform the guy tommorow and if its coming from there he can change it for me Then I can just keep an eye on the oil level and make sure theres no more leaks, apparently its normal to have a little gasket showing ?? Either way dads seen cars with small leaks from the headgaskets driving round for years lol

Yeah its normal to be able to see some of the gasket, its just how they are made generally.

Yeah thats the main concern tbh everytime I start it I am worried! only 2 miles to work and back now and then straight to the garage in the morning and thats it. Tbf its done a good month or two lol its a good job I do'n't thrash the car round all the time!

Ooh also I forgot to say I was cheeky and bought some Ferrodo DS2500 for brands hatch £30 from someone with 500 miles on them! Looking foward to giving them a go! and i'll buy another brake disc tommorow

Yeah but I don't like using Danny its not very fair, i'm really bad at most of the stuff, I always screw something up and I'm only good for undo'ing a few bolts.

I'll keep an eye on it for a month, like I have been and if nothings changed i'll look into it, but if I stop losing oil and that then it should be alright, i've got so many leak patches there could be lots or just a couple high up ones like rocker which we sorted.
