Anyways... woke up late this morning, lacking any motivation what so ever... drove to the local scrappers knowing that we never have mk3's around here now... and low and behold I find 1 mk3 on a P reg.

Noticed the box was still left in it, little more investigation I found that it was a Derv.. WIN!!



Removed in 5 minutes, drove to my Mums 10 miles away, couldnt get above 3k and was sounding pretty (VERY) bad!


After a fair bit of fucking about I was like BOOM



LSD box on left, Derv box on the right (painted) along with painted driveshafts and fan.



Nice collection of oil




While the box is off I am going to do the crank oil seal behind the flywheel as thats fucked... drop the sump, paint that and renew the gasket on that, and also fit this:




And this is how the car is being left for a day or so

This afternoon I managed to get clutch, flywheel, sump, alternator off.

Fitted a new crank oil seal.

Painted all the bits.

Painted some other bits.

Tomorrow afterwork, I shall try get the sump, flywheel, clutch and alternator back on.

I just cut the bottom bit off so I could get a small 10mm socket in. good job my replacement bolts are Allen headed so I can refit easier.
