I seriously wish I had my garage still, because at this point I would have binned this shell and stuck the engine in the KA!

Jesus this is a rott box. Fix a hole, find another weak point, fix that.. etc etc

This evenings effort (2 1/2 hours work at a slow pace)

Just next to seat mount:


Rear of floor pan just as it goes up over the tank:


Both... thinking this isnt too bad tbh!


Welded seat mount bit and then went along the edge up against the inner sill... which then uncovered another weak spot!


Welded up the rear hole:


Welded up the other bit:


Found that under that corner where the rear of the inner sill is, is basically fucked, so need to get under the car and do that at some point

did some more tonight... didn't bother with photos as I was busy.

did some more cage floor plate reinforcing.

Just think, once you've welded it all its all done and dusted and solid so you know you have a solid shell.

You not really having to pay loads on someone else doing it so it can't be all bad

yeah co2 extinguisher... uses pub gas sized regulator so works fine. just need to keep it upside down. lol
