I'll have you know my car handles like a beaut But then I do have quite a bit done to it I suppose, and all the mods work well together too.

Gonna go for AVO ones, and im gonna sit them around 70mm lower than standard height, It's gonna handle like a beast by the end i HOPE, with Rear welded axle, Rear ARB, Everything polly bushes, front upper strut brace, Front lower S brace, Rose jointed lower arms, 185 45 R15 i think it should handle pretty nice.

If i am totally honest i never thought for a standard car it handled bad so i am expecting it to be on rails with all this done.

And yeah there MK6 fiesta Zetec wheels with spacers, Not seen anyone with a mk3/mk3.5 have them especially in white.

Personaly see no point for a rear strut brace on a FWD car, I know 3 or 4 people round my way who have done it and when they change lanes on the motor way ect they say the car skip's across and feels mega sketchy so just gonna get the mods i have listed above done, and then focus on making my shell MINT for Photography and drop a bike carbed zetec in it, but it going to all get done over the course of about 10months.


Taking pictures most weeks as i go along as soon as i get a decent bit of work done to it and pictures of it all, Il stick up a thread/blog of the motor with a little write up.

Kieran, don't go mental on making the rear end too stiff it will ruin the cars handling and will probably be tail happy and step out. Also, the rear end will stay literally level and solid and the front end will understeer. You need to comprimise. Don't go thinking more = better. It doesn't always work like that. You'll be wanting to run the coilovers on the softest setting on the rear, just a heads up

Also, the tyre choice is a bad one. You'll get no tyre sidewall flex and it wont grip at all so will handle like complete shit, plus it will be running a bit of stretch on 185 - which is asking for no grip and distasters if you push it hard around a corner.

185's on a 6J isn't stretch ? and yeah i don't want the rear to stiff hence why im not getting a rear strut,

but as danny says - overstiff is not the best

I've got a rear strut brace on my car and its fine. Even with a strut brace alone with just lowering springs and rear arb its a good mod.

We don't really do them, they are in talks though. But generally at shows with track time is when we go have a play sometimes. Ford Fair is probably the next one, might even be a castle combe summer action show before that though. Combe is a very fast circuit. Silverstone is a good one to get some experience on imo.
