you can put 60mm springs on standard shocks but for the sake of safety and the ride quality your probably best buying a full kit buddy. i think 40mm would look spot on tbh but i suppose 60mm would look sweet, slammed look like

fitting wishbones;

1) jack up car
2) put on axle stands
3) take off front wheels
4) next undo the pinch bolt (behind the flange, under the hub) its a torx bit. place torx socket in head and hold it still (on the rachet); get a socket or ring spanner to fit the nut on other end of pinch bolt and slacken the nut. losted bolt by the nut end. don't slacken by the torx head end or else it'll round out easerly!
5) take out pinch bolt. drive a wedge into the gap (where the pinch bolt was pinching) a leaver bar is what i use (or old flat screw driver)
6) pull/ leaver / hit the old dead wishbone downward this will pull the joint out the bottom of the hub.
7) next undo the two bolts holding the wishbone to the carrier this is held on by two 18mm bolts with 19mm nuts (i think, don't quote me to the size!)
8) remove the bolts and pull the wishbone (wriggle wriggle wriggle yer) off.

9) put new wishbone back in carrier, put bolts in and do up tight. (yer a bit of a fight putting wishbones in sometimes)
10) pull wishbone down under hub and aim the ball joint into underside hole in hub.
11) get jack under ball joint end of wishbone and jack up the jack (this effortless method pushes the joint in)
12) renew and replace pinch bolt. do up visa nut not the head (don't fancy rounding out!) torque it to the setting do not overtighten or youll take the thread off the bolt (i did this once!)
13) ensure all 3 bolts are torqued up, put road wheel back on. (road wheel torque- 100nm)
14) do same for othe side.
15) lower car onto floor and get the tracking done.

jobs a good'n!
Get yourself a cuppa tea!

sam's top tips!

thanks for that :D ive bought new bolts too so at least i can grind the old pinch nut off if it wont play nicely, just ordered new drop links and ARM bushes on ebay so will wait till they arrive and do it all in one go

the wishbones on it there doenst seem to be any rubber left in the bushes :| handles fine just knocks alot on bumpy roads

Took the wheel off to oil them up then thought what the heck, so drivers side now has it's new wishbone in, might do the other tomorro

One problem I slackened off one of the drop links and the nut got near the end of the thread now it's just spinning if that makes sense? How can I tighten it up again?

the nut will spin the whole thread on drop links

theres a couple of flat edges behind the rubber bit that you can fit an open spanner on to hold the thread still while tightening the nut mate think its either a 10, 13 or 15mm that should fit it

if any of that makes sense? lol
