Been sat thinking... toying with changing the gearbox.

I was thinking st170 but the 6th gear still seems too short.

So diesel box is back on the agenda. Yes they make the acceleration slightly slower... but not by much. 5th gear I remember used to be around 1750ish for motorway speed. This will save me money. I would get more miles out of it.. for not much of a drop in performance.

End if the day, I use this daily. And I'm not a 0-60 type of person.

Downside is... I lose the slipdiff (not got time or skills to swap it over)

Another upside, can fit the paddle clutch.

Finished work early and decided that after the gym I would get on with changing my rocker cover gasket and thermostat, which I have been meaning to do for like 5 months...












On other importance.. thanks to Jam working out / finding out info for me while I was at work.. fitting a deisel 5th to my ERST box would make my 5th gear 5% different. So pointless doing it.

My main issue is space nowadays due to having no garage.

Has to be Bosch fuel pump.
Front mount IC
Extra boost and fuelling will see around 140-150bhp and daft torque, and higher if I swap the turbo.
Straight through exhaust side exit just before the n/s rear wheel.
Front end of a Berlingo is 306, rear is a 406 setup.
So, rear disc beam from an MI16
Front coilovers for a 306.
306 GTI-6 Front brake setup.
