As per new title, some bastard has hit my car.

I left my car out overnight for the first time in nearly a year since owning my garage, and this happened.

I know its not the end of the world or anything, but its still annoying!

That is annoying for sure.

At least it's only a new light, clean and touch up the bumper.

And clean the rest of the car!

I'll probably just give the bumper a quick touch up at some point, or just leave it until the bonnet gets done and do both. No money to do it at the moment which sucks balls. Was lucky that they didnt do more damage to the car and the body of it, that would have really pissed me off!

My smoked MHW lights will probably go back on as a temp fix for now, even though I have gone off them lol, but saves water and crap getting into the electrics - even though ive put tape over the hole to stop little children catching their fingers on sharp edges as mr police man would say... but i would reply they shouldnt be touching my car as it is, so teaches the little fuckers right. lol.

Hit the 100,000 mile mark today, booyah.

this is not good. if it were me and i had done this to someones car in the midle of the night, i'd come back in the morning and put like Â£50 in a evolope under the wiper. sods for sure!

As per new title, the light and bumper have been repaired

I spent roughly about 10 solid minutes sorting the rear bumper out yesterday. Its not 100% perfect as there are a couple of deep scratches, but they will get looked at and sorted at a later date.

All that was used was some green t-cut scratch remover and a couple of trade secrets

It came up quite nicely compared to how it looked before!

Then yesterday evening I picked up these.

They wasn't in the best of condition but I knew with a bit of elbow grease I could get them looking good. I was going to go down the route of taking off the first layer completely with either cutting compound and a DA sander or just by hand with wet and dry + soapy water. But instead I opted for the good old t-cut and some elbow grease. It paid off!

This is how they looked before I started, very scratched up, the scratches was quite deep too in some places.

And this is how they finished up. Shame about the chip under the surface, but its not highly noticeable when they are on the car.

Then I tinted the reverse light like my old lights (still wet in this picture) - I will probably get a proper LHD unit at some point so it looks more OEM.

I also replaced both lights with the ones I got so at least I have one original light not smashed up kept away safe.

And also replaced the brake pads as they was rather low.

You did good on the light also, looks miles better.

That pad is a tad low, reminds me of my fez, it had a seized caliper and a woman driver. Cracked disc and pad down to metal lol.

Louis, reparing aubergine is a bitch to do, you'd be hard done to get it looking back to how it was - depending how bad it is though of course. I experienced this when I had my one. You wont get deep scratches out without using filler and spraying it. But one way to do it is by mixing paint with an abrasive like t-cut scratch remover. You'd have to get liquid form paint though, mix it up so its matches the car colour, then rub it into the area with the scratches, the t-cut will remove the scratches and the colour of it now being the same as the car will match and fill the gaps.
