sorry if this is the wrong room

as with any used car i buy i like to give it a good service for a piece of mind this Si seems well looked after considering the recipts and oil on the dipstick is clear

but just wondering what spark plugs people are using in NA silvertops i know i had NGK copper core ones in my last Si which seemed great but that was some years ago and theres the new super 4 on the scene

ive been using them in my volvo turbo and seem fine (ive heard they are no good for high boost though 20+ psi) obv no problem in an NA engine

I am running super 4's, in a C2 admittedly but they do seem to be a very good plug I can't say anything bad about them.

ive seen a company on ebay doing them £11 + postage which is cheaper than motorfactors/halfords

just stick with the ngk copper core, dont use champion plugs

Did you know that there can only be one arc at a time when your spark plug fires, you will never have two, three or four electrodes fire at once. The double and quads only have an advantage if the plug becomes "fouled" on an electrode, then one of the others will be able to continue in a best case scenario - heard of the term longlife plug?

There are other things to spark plugs; heat ratings, gap setting be quite important.

I currently have NGK with a heat range of 7, but I'm going for heat range 8 when I service next just for piece of mind.

Heat range is the key, don't get sucked into all the marketing nonsense.

It's usually in the numbering for the code with NGK, not sure on others.
