Sup y0!

Good evening in other words.

Not really an update, but just a couple of quick pictures.

So, I was out and about today and near an old location I took a couple of pictures back in april 2010... Here is one, which you may or may not remember:

Image

So I thought I would go back to the same place, try park in the same position and snap a picture.

Image

I'm sure you will look at both and try spot all the differences, but there isn't really that many to be fair, only noticeable ones are pop out windows, its lower, standard rear lights, bonnet, the weather is nicer and the fact the new picture is out of focus lol. Eagle eyed members will notice the 2nd rear arb, refurbed wheels, lower profile tyres, re-painted calipers and a superman air freshener lol.

Another random one:

Image

Also, as you know, a few of us went to Devil Development for a rolling road day, I nabbed a few window stickers and very subtly put one under the spoiler. You can hardly notice it from the outside of the car unless you look for it. Stealth mode sticker! And before anyone says it not straight, it is, the headlining isn't for some reason... something ill sort out tomorrow.

Image

Think thats it really. Only did this update because I was bored 8-)

45 profile compared to 50 in that pic. Not sure why I was running 50's to be fair because I've always run 45 profile for the last 4 ish years I've been driving, it must have had something to do with me selling the rs7's and putting these wheels on or something... I dunno! lol.

Yeah the splitter is different thinking about it, same style, but new

 yeah the grass does need cutting!

The car is pretty damn low. It cant really go any lower on the front because it will scrub wayyyyyyyy to much. The rear can do down quite a lot more, but then the car wouldn't be level. Its pretty much at the perfect lowness for going mega low. There are probably other pictures around which shows its lowness in more glory.

Nah wouldn't bother doing that, will look gash. Decent carbon wrap is mega expensive, like nearly £30 per square meter. I wrapped a few kit cars and some other stuff with it once, mainly custom aluminum bonnets I made for them. Its nice stuff because its textured but its not worth the price for a temp thing. I'd rather just leave it black for now, its not too bad as it is.

This is the wrap I used to use. The real lacquered carbon fibre is on the right, the fake wrap is on the left.

Speed bumps are fun Louis, luckily round here there isn't that many to contend with so its alright :)

Nothing much to report really. Car is going well, obviously. Nearly at 100k now!

Erm... parked next to a bunch of cocks the other day...

Image

Then today I found a speedbump... nearly killed the underneith of my car - well in fact my car got completely stuck on the 2nd speedbump I found - the lower strut brace was sitting on it and the wheels lost traction

So yeah, I got some 3 wheel action going on one speedbump. (1 second shutter speed + spining wheel = motion effect)

Image

Video of me spinning the wheel for all you who think its fake  (not a huge gap, probably about 15mm... I could have got a bigger gap if I centralised the car more on the speedbump, but who cares, it was on 3 wheels either way lol)

And also, the other speedbump I found - the one I could actually just about drive over at an angle - the exhaust clamp is scraping, not the exhaust :)

Yeah twin rears make a difference. Well on my setup it does anyway, on aftermarket/standard shocks and springs it can be a bit overkill I have heard and seen in the past due to the damping rates ect of the shocks - makes the rear end mega stiff and causes the rear end to lose grip. I know a couple of people to write off cars with aftermarket shocks & springs and twin rear ARB.

But with mine, I have coilovers, and they are on the softest setting, so it helps eliminate body roll and rear axle twist while on that setting, and tbh I never take them off the soft setting as its such a smooth ride.

Having a 2nd one does make a noticeable difference though for sure! I'd say its worth it.
