High compression Honda engines do respond well to turbochargers and superchargers.

Here's a 320bhp Civic (1600cc turbo!) against a R32 GTR Skyline with 440BHP, not too much slower really!

I think I can guess at what Des is planning  :insanity:

I cannot wait to see how it goes with more power! :D

That civic in the vid sure does have some power! I expect the power to weight ratio's are rather similar in them two cars.

My friend is building a turbo'd ek9 at the moment, I cant wait to have a go in that :D

Ideally need to organise that sprint day soon too, will allow a few more people to go out in it!

I must admit, I do kind of feel like I need more power, especially 4th and 5th :D  But the priority is the suspension at the moment, as I may find that once its all done that I don't get any wheelspin at all in 2nd and less in 1st which is hopeful! And of course I'll have greater traction with slick tyres on track too so need to keep that in mind.

Wheels wise, I'm currently looking for a set of Ray's Volks TE37's in 15" or 16".

http://www.nengun.com/rays/volk-racing-te37

etc.

I have a few options open, but I'm not rushing into anything. I still want some Grid-V drifts but would prefer something more performanc-based like the TE37.

Just before my holiday I fitted some uprated anti roll bar bushes on the front to match my anti roll bar links on the front and back and that has made a huge difference to body roll already - Still have to fit the rears!

Also looking at an uprated version of my turbo like this - - The evo 9 turbochargers have a little more room for me to grow compared to my evo 4/5 turbocharger. Rather than simply having a remap, I wouldn't mind having a few extra bits whacked on at the same time.

Will update with pictures soon when my new steering wheel is fitted also...

Cheers Dave, hopefully I'll have the boss for my steering wheel by then, just had my OMP horn arrive for it.

Ben - I want bronze wheels. Absolutely love bronze on black. :)

Bronze wheels will look awsome!!!
I'm still yet to see its current performance but i assume more and it will be mental.
Speaking of 1600turbo did you watch gadget geeks last night? They bought a 1.4 civic for £500 stripped everything off including all panels, stuck a 1600vtec in, put a turbo on it and turned boost up to produce 190bhp and it was rapid lol.

I need SkyGo for that, Just tweeted the guy that did it. Apparently they didn't uprate the fuel pump! :o

I won't be going for much more Peak HP Louie, probably less than 350bhp, but want increase my average BHP and torque across the whole rpm range as much as possible.

Damn you Terry

I was going to buy new new spark plugs and uprated HT leads (uprated to basically work better under higher temps in the engine bay) however since Terry has posted about his MSD ignition coil, I'm going down the same path.

I knew my dizzy isn't running well anyway since the seal isn't 100% and I've had to replace my current dizzy with a 2nd hand CPS and igntion coil.

You should be seeing a lot more updates soon with this as I will have my own driveway and garage next month :D

So by the end of the year it should be done as long as I decide not to do anything "more" to it. brand new uprated bushes, PROPER coilovers, uprated braking system and a reliable 300bhp/ton+ is still the realistic aim.

Also, here are my spare arms with my uprated bushes.

And my steering wheel from Dalsy

Cheers :)

Thanks Danny. I'm even looking forward to simply having the time to do the little things like replace my coolant, wrap my exhaust and downpipe and fit my turbo blanket, as one thing I need to do as soon as I can is uprate the water and oil cooling side of things as much as possible.

Oil cooler kit should be with me in a month or so too.
