yeah i was going to have waynes for 50 squid but it would need spraying etc and wont go on for ages because i cnt afford to get anything sprayed atm. so im sure my dremmel will be up to cutting through the bonnet? ill try do a good job but yeah, will be very interesting indeed. got them fairly cheap too... you have a dremmel dave dont you? what are their limits?

Would you still not have to paint to stop the part where you cut from rusting?
I also think you'll need to fabricate something for the vents to bolt to otherwise its gonna be 2 holes in your bonnet.

right, got the gearbox... some rear lights, a replacement front light, and an rs turbo bonnet... oh and bonnet spacers! win

erm u have a point louis, im going to see what theyre like when they get here, try and cut the hole smaller than the vents so they cover the cut (which i can paint the edges with hammerite) and seal them to it lol.

and on another note, the engine doesnt have either mounts on there... which im pissed off about as he said hed leave em on but hey ho! can i use either mounts off my 1.4?

You'll probably need zetec mounts mate, not sure if the rear CVH mount is the same as a zetec.

What gearbox did you get?
