I found out about this new technique the other day, basically in short what you do is use a telescopic lens on a really wide aperture to create a really shallow depth of field behind your subject, then you take a number of photos, stitch them all together and it creates a picture which is of the wider angle lens style but with a shallow depth of field which you can only achieve with a telescopic lens. The results you can get are awesome.

Some pictures I have seen give the look of the subject being 3D and in some ways fake looking, which is really smart - if you like that thing.

So I wanted to try it quickly, I parked my car in an industrial estate which was all private property - security kicked me out after about 10mins, so I had to rush to get the picture I wanted, which is a bit annoying because the car isn't fully in focus because I focused on the front of the car and didn't check the rear of the car before I started snapping.

This picture is made up of about 15-20 pictures. I did crop it too so I could get a panorama feel to it.




I will be going out at some point again and re-doing it to try and get a better effect - basically for the background to be even more out of focus... but for a rushed first attempt to get the feel of it all, I'm kinda pleased with it.

I'll update with more pictures when I take some, hopefully they will come out better

Tecccchnically i know its not a brenizer type photo. it was shot with a 35mm/F1.8 lens that pretty much lives on my camera, with alot of the background cropped to make it internet friendly. to be honest i found the video a bit confused. trying to achieve the effect of a wide angle with a telephoto? perhaps im not looking at it with the right mindset.
