I have this argument at work, what the fuck are gloves gonna do against a grinder kicking back?? Plus they always gfet in my way, so I'd only take them off :lol:

TBH a dremmel could have come in handy for nobbling the small bits of weld in the corners, ah well lol

Paul, I know you like body modification and all that, but taking an angle grinder to your hand isnt the way to go about it! :lol:

Cage looks good though mate! :)

On the subject of gloves, it makes sense to use them! Even if its just a pair of these type ones: http://www.screwfix.com/p/perfect-fit-p ... ack/22273#

They aint nothing special, but they can still protect your hands a fair bit. I always wear these usually - helps that I can get shit loads free too. I've had my hand/fingers saves from cutting discs and also an axe chopping my thumb off once lol

You could get kevlar ones and go mental on it all and not worry about your hands but they are a bit bulky sometimes

I might buy a new grinder soon anyway, I'm using one which has got to be around 15 years old or more, you can't even get discs that fit it now, so I use discs on the pikey and hope for the best :lol: not even got a tool to undo the locking nut, have to use 2 molegrips...

Thing is, last time I got a grinder, I used it under the same extreme conditions and it lasted me a whole month, this oldskool one never gives up!!!

Old grinders seem to be the best! I've broken so many new grinders before. I think its just because they are so cheaply and shitly made. My own one hasnt broken, yet lol.
