I only took them out the inner housing thingy... cant think of the name now. Basically, I didnt pop them out the box, instead, took off the metal clip that holds the rubber gaiter on, then popped the gaiter off and pulled the shaft out the housing and tied them out the way. Just remember you'll need to drop the ball joint out the hub to allow them to be taken out

fuckkk me, didnt think of any of this

i only have to drop the ball joint out of the hub to take them out of this 'inner house thingy'? this must be in the haynes right?

Yeah. Ball joint is 1 nut and bolt. 45mm torx (i think) one one end and a 17mm nut on the other... should come undone fairly easy

its piece of piss.

Well, mine is because its been taken out about 50 times since ive owned it lol. Best thing to do is crack the nut first, then if the whole thing spins around, put the torx on the other end and undo it. Thennnnnn before the nut comes off, wind it back on a little bit, get a hammer, tap/whack the nut so the bolt moves, take the nut off and then tap it out.

It saves pissing around loads getting the bolt out if its a bit tight in there.
