ecu and inlet will cost around £100 to buy together, so offer him a bit of money see if he will sell the pair with the engine, offer around £70 on top :)

If you come to Derby, I live 5 minutes away from a scrappy that could hold some hidden wonders for a 2 litre conversion...

Well the master cylinder and servo should be available to find, as should an ecu. HO inlet, don't think so! Lol. We can pocket one touch relays for windows and stuff too.

damn right danny :P just been scrappy, not the largest but had mondeo's etc, said they had ecu's but werent sure which ones so ill make a return if i cant find one cheap enough on tinternet.

haha louis, ill make sure im wearing it when you come and tinker ;) yeah i mean i need to actually get the engine and gearbox, then sort out the ho inlet, loom, ecu etc etc.

ill need to make a list of what i need (new, 2nd hand etc), the tools ill need (as my collection is shit) and so on...

my body work is terrible :( but im sacraficing that for the 'powahh')... so i wont be getting my wheels refurbed YET. so with the gloss white paint i have, my rims are going white temporarily, and my coilies will be going on (another thing i need to sort) oh and my brakes! so ill be back on later so people get ready with lists...

ideally i need to know which bits i need from the 1.6, which brakes to go for, where i can find a loom, pretty sure the best ecu to get is DEEP but not sure if that defo matters, my magnex exhaust can stay for the time being... and what definate changes i need to make to fit the engine (eg drilling where the engine mount will be going, which tom is leaving on the engine for me so thats a bonus!)... so that would be appreciated chaps!

Power over bodywork all day lol.

About time you got the coilovers sorted, its been long enough

Brakes can be anything to be honest, just get something decent, all depends what you want to do wheel wise in the future. If you fit say ST150 brakes, you'll never get steelies on the front because you need a minumum of 15" wheels to clear them. Something to think about.

ECU wise - deep is supposedly the best, I am not 100% sure why, but people rave about it. I'll do research for my own benefit too later why its considered better. I have a dewy ecu and it pulls like a train in all gears, all the way to the redline no problem. Probably starts to loose power at about 6000 rpm, which is normal. The other ecu to use is a desk one.

Loom can be gotten from any mk3 fiesta with a zetec car - Si, RS1800, xr2i 1.8 for example. I thiiiink you can use the escort loom to as its pretty much the same, if not exactly the same.

Drilling the chassis shouldnt be too hard of job, or too complicated. It might be worth looking in your engine bay to see if it already has the holes. Some do. My old 1.3 did! Guides can show you where to drill, if you are still stuck, ill grab a pic of where the mount needs to be ect. That and the loom are really the only changes you need to make, im 99% sure of it.

Bits needed from the 1.6 - i will list it as if it was a 1.6-2.0 because some 1.4 items may be different - like the alternator and PAS pump ect. Depending how much Tom is giving you will depend what bits you need of course.

alternator
pas pump
the bracket which holds them both to the engine
water pump - which is new on that engine anyway? so thats ok
sump and pick up pipe - on engine?
exhaust manifold - on engine?
downpipe
dipstick tube - may differ to 1.4 one
oil pump - new on engine?
flywheel
clutch
starter motor - may be able to use 1.4 one
all the sensors - should be on the engine - also need lambda sensor
injector rail*
injectors*
* = will probably come on a HO inlet manifold - which is something you will need to get full power out of the engine
also you will need the throttle body from a 2.0 or rs1800
coolant hoses
you may need the 1.6 rad if it differs to the 1.4 one, also rad fan too perhaps
engine mounts - but you will have them
loom & alternator+stater motor wiring
aux belt

I think thats it. Most of that will be on the engine anyway, so you can knock down that list to near on half straight away.

I thiiiiiiiiiiiiiink there is a couple of CVH to zetec guides around which can help you.

fiestaguides one here:

http://www.fiestaguides.co.uk/content/e ... rsion.html

and one on fiestaturbo here:

http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/1-6-8 ... 7-vt92943/

I remember reading though the one on fiestaturbo, its doesnt use the alternator and power steering pump 'properly' like you need to (with the bracket) so ignore that. Do it properly to save any hassle :)

Essay complete.. I think lol

Yeah 1.6 si loom will be perfect to use :)

That inlet may got for more than £30, but its worth keeping an eye on it :)

Mums never understand.. unless they are girl races at heart lol. My mum is, she offered me a race when I got mine sorted  225bhp turbo'd auti tt vs 2.0 130ish bhp fiesta... was a good race lol. She is a pussy and cant drive though, so no wonder why I kept up lol... this was on our private closed off section of the motorway of course :) lol
