I went through this, dual mass flywheel, expensive to change apparently.
If mine goes then im gonna look into getting a lightweight flywheel gives good gains in acceleration iv read.

aint them DMF ones lightened over an normal 2.0?

Im not sure but theres a guy on passion ford whos spent afew £k on his over time and says doing away with the dmf for a lightweight flywheel reduces the 0-60 conciderably.
Im not sure whether they are easy to live with though if it will change the day to day drive of it but thats something ill speak to him about if i have to change in the near future.

2 day job though, hell is he on about, work was doing one last week he had the box off by 11 and he literally took his time lol, but he did have another clutch AND flywheel so looked like he was doing the pair

for that money id stick a standard 2.0 or a lightened 170 one in myself...

Dual mass flywheels always fuck up, the amount I changed working in a garage was unreal. Basically if I car has one, it will be changed when the clutch goes, it's pretty much standard to do it now.

A lot of people who mod cars ect opt for the lightweight 'normal' flywheel and clutch, it will better the engine response initially, acceleration of the engine will be improved slightly too, but it will lack the momentum to keep it spinning at higher rpm to the engine will have to work harder at speed to keep it. Same as any lightweight flywheel though!
