I cleaned the car for the first time in months the other day. So I decided that night to go do some photography and snap some pictures of the car.

They are all meant to be dark and gloomy before anyone says anything, the whole idea of this was to replicate that dark and gloomy urban underground look. Hope you like!

Looks beautiful danny, good setting also, project underground looks good.
Wish you lived more local to me, wouldnt mind a photo shoot of mine in a similar setting.

Oh, and dont smooth it, looks better with the badge and line on the front imo, more OEM+

Small update.

Got myself an RS Turbo bonnet today from Jon who I borrowed the engine crane off to do the engine conversion - as hes breaking his FRST.

It's black as you can tell by the pictures, but its only on there for a short while as a trial fit to see whether I like it.

So far, I am starting to like it. At first I wasn't really sure about it, but its slowly growing on me. I think once it gets sprayed up to match the car it will look much better.

I popped round my mums house and told her I put it on there and she said it looks smart. She used to have a black orion with some sort of body kit on it - RS kit I think - back in the day, so shes into her old skool fords which is why she likes it

lol

Anyway, quick picture from my phone:

In other news, the car has done 600 miles since the engine change, only one thing has gone wrong so far which is my own fault. A power steering pipe rubbed on the camshaft pulley and slowly ate its way through the rubber and then let go when I was in Bournemouth with Chris getting a new head for his ZS. Luckily I had stuff on me to cut the pipe a little shorter and then get a jubilee clip on there.

So apart from that, its all good. Just need to give the engine bay a bloody good clean now!

So... opinions on the bonnet?

its not hard to see how having an RST bonnet will look, plenty of Si's on here with them fitted still using Si bumpers

stare of a few for a while to imagine its your car, slight colour difference (mine, phils, daves for example)

personally id keep it and get it sprayed up, you have already bought it now, no point it joining your arch kit under the bed lol

plus its cool to watch the heat pour out at the junctions

Haha the arch kit has migrated to my garage now. 3-4 odd years of ownership of that and it's still not on the car

I keep looking at that pics of Si's with one fitted, one mine I like, then the next I don't :lol:

now it's on mine it's slowly growing on me. I will only be able to make my final decision when it's sprayed up... I think I already know the answer, which is that it's staying

I'll get my splitter back on at some point, that should make it look slightly better on the front end... Then in the summer I'll spray it up and whack it on properly
