Small update.

New windscreen fitted by auto price windscreens for £200 and fitted black wheel bolt covers.

Got some universal rear black mud flaps to fit today aswell.

Should be fitting new head gasket, clutch and cable next week, then off to the garage for a full inspection/check over for anything dodgy on it ive missed.

Also found a local company that fits and repairs cabriolet hoods, so will be visiting them this week to get a price for a new hood.

Starter motor and alternator are usually pretty reliable items on any car, so should be ok I would say

Well its in the garage today. Was gonna attempt this work myself, but decided to take it to a local reliable garage to do the work so I know its done properly and to give me a break and enjoy my week off work.

Should be having the cam seal and head gasket looked at and there seems to be juddering when pulling away so might be the clutch plate, so having a new clutch assembly and clutch cable replacing.

Also idles erratically and burning petrol\smoking quite abit.

ok new clutch fitted and had a snapped bolt drilled out the manifold so now all three bolts are connecting it to the downpipe.

i had it pre-MOT checked and the only things it needs are front brake lines and a cat back exhaust as its blowing in a few places.

Drives and sounds alot better now. Off to look for some goodridge braided brake hoses and maybe think about putting new discs and pads on too. The current ones feel really poor but it might just be were its been standing for a year.

Good news on the work.

It really does have a good stance, way better than any punto iv seen, maybe its because its a cabriolet and doesnt have the horrible back end.
