love the pics dan, pitty it was dark so they aint turned out 100%

what a day, ive had so much fun and experience alot, nicks mk4 had good power, it aint 170 like he claims, felt like 150 to me, and that FRS2 he raced was gone lol, but it showed me what more power feels like

and then your ignis proper put the frighteners on me, never been so scared in my life lol, im a crap passenger but your car isnt like others it was exceptional.

glad you enjoyed having a spin in mine, always promised you'd get to, pity its not to know what your Si would have been like with the 1800 in, but atleast it brought back fond memories of being in a mk3 and showed you what the 1800 130ps is like
it does enjoy the higher rpm's

the little play we had was great, had that tight round about got my tyres smoking again and launched off up to 3rd, but to be fair i had only just got into 3rd before we had to brake hard, was on about 5k,

but yeah that short straight didnt do me justice.

but like i said the cars are two completely different worlds apart, yours is short quick bursts and tight technical bends, mine is bigger longer roads and larger sweeping bends where power can be used fromt he higher revs, as yours kicks in very early but running out of puff before the higher revs
but theres no doubt you, your car would always out do mine even with coilovers, the chassis on that ignis is brilliant, and you'd stick with me till 80 fine, but liek you said thats when the extra CC comes in and pulls me away

on that note your a good yet very aggressive driver, but you stay in control, you know yours and your cars limits, despite trying out new tyres, im certain you would be able to drive mine faster then i could round bends lol, i dont thrash around often

yeah it was abit dark for the iphone 4 lol

be nice to see what his fiesta makes on the rollers soon, and same for your fiesta.

once its got wider wheels and whiteline roll bars i really think its gona be a bit of a handling machine lol considering all its got a a set of apex springs on it i think its brilliant, tyres do help it a lot mind, the yokos felt great earlier on, i think we got them pretty warm lol

i loved having a go of yours, it felt strange being in an si once again, but in a good way, love the way the recaros hug you round corners, would of loved a go of it over that mountain road lol that definately would of brought back memories, thats the road i learnt to drive fast over lol

i could definately feel the torque in it compared to the ignis, although it didnt feel any quicker than iggy but it definately pulled at lower revs better, which is what you would expect from a bigger engine i suppose, i should of let you have a go of ignis.

yeah you got that summed up down to a tee, the ignis is based on the jwrc winning car, suzuki just made it handle awesome and accelerate quick, and thats it really.

would love to do a track day sometime to compare cars on a track, then we can actually push them to them limits and see how the ignis would do on a long straight and long sweeping bends.

the ignis is a very progresive car, the faster and harder you drive it the quicker and more responsive it becomes and the faster you chuck it into the bend the better it feels, its quite weird in a way lol it just wants to be driven hard lol

I love the focus for its torquey feel, and it revs high also which is what makes cars fun.

These mountain roads sound decent, wouldnt mind sering them myself.

wales is where its at

but my argument is, i have just as much torque as i do power, literally 126 each, its very interesting, most are like your St is around 170bhp 150 lbs

haha next time ill let you have a little go, hopefully have a manifold and exhaust on it by then as well.

i'd rather you have it mate, least i can see it live on then, and perhaps ill buy it back one day lol

yeah it does sound meaty, to be honest i think cvh sound better than zetec with an exhaust.

i seriously think you should 2.0 yours though, you will get much more power and torque then.

also i think you should get a 130 ecu, for reasons i said to you about my mates escort.

wheels and whiteline front and rear arbs will be coming soon, tyres ive got sorted for a while now.

in the summer now pop up and get some toyos, you seen how good they were on nicks fiesta, although he thought yokos were better, and tbh im starting to think the same way after yesterday, mind you it was dry.

there isnt a cliff on that bend, theres a small drop, but you need not worry as i drive that road everyday for the past 3 1/2 years i know it like the back of my hand lol pity there was traffic really, i gave a clio 172 cup a good go over there the other week lol

UPDATE:

havent been on here for a while as ive been really busy recently moving into my new place with my girlfriend so not much been happening with iggy recently.

had some issues in ikea though when trying to buy furniture for the house, my fault as i was being a bit over enthusiastic about the size of the ignis' boot space lol

i dunno what made me think this desktop would fit in the back lol
Image

already had all this lot in the back as well.
2 bookshelves
desk frame and legs
plates etc
washing basket
2 lamps
a breadbin and more lol

Image
it does make a good little van as well as a fun fast little hatchback lol.

was brilliant for moving house, i even managed to get a mattress in the back on it lol

anyway while waiting to be rescued by my gfs stepdads zafira (we only just got the desktop in the back of that as well) i decided to have a little photoshoot.
Image
Image

anyway a bit more recently last weekend took the ignis to the wyedean forrest rally in the forrest of dean.
it looked quite at home parked in the middle of a snowy forrest amongst evos and scoobys lol
Image
Image
Image
Image

me and my dad had a load of fun throwing around the monmouthshire b roads lol also had fun chasing a 1400 micra rally car in between stages haha

anyway like i said not much been happening with the ignis recently other than ive insured it for another year with admiral costing £1165 for the year with one years ncb, not bad considering i was paying about 1600 last year.

its my birthday tommorow though so any money i have will be going on some goodies for the car as well as some of my pay at the end of the month.

end of march will also see a good service with some uprated parts ready for dyno day in april.. so watch this space!
