this is my mates mk2 escort.. he got it a few months ago as as rolling shell and has been working hard on it up until now.

these pics were from a little while ago.







hes been collecting a few nice parts for it over the past few months




anyway, some pics from today.

seats, harnesses cage buckets doorcards,steering wheel and carpets are in. joels gota just fit a few more things inside now.

hes also switched tyre size to 175/50/13s from 185/60/13s so they no longer touch the rear arches (got 2inch lowering blocks) and they look much better to be honest.

front and rear bumpers are on and rear spoiler, and windows.

the rear axle was polybushed and painted with bilstein dampers a while back and hes also recently polybushed the front roll bar and steering rack bushes.

lots of bits and bob have been painted to make it look nice and fresh too.















taking shape now, wont be long now.

not bad for a 1st car eh? took him a while to decide what he wanted mind, went from a mk2 cortina to his bros zs (which we also rebuilt, i have a thread on here somewhere) to another mk2, then finally ended up with this one.

its a pre facelift mate, the posts have front ends that slant down and forwards

what colour is it then its a really nice colour, think one of them photos showed its true colour hue, the one with the grey haired man standing looking at the door

crossflow be nice but if he wants a 2.0 pinto in it later probs be best finding a 1.6 pinto now, my old mans 1.6 is quite nippy with a cam in

i dunno mate, maybe if its on the road by then..

i really dunno that much about them tbh mate, other than the look the nuts and go sideways lol.

its olympic blue mate, he was gona have it white, but theres a lot of them in white and this is a rare colour. goes well with the black bits i think. i love the colour too, its even better in the flesh, so bright lol its gona stand out a mile lol

got cibies to go on the front as well which is gona look cool.

its all wired up for a xflow at the moment so i think thats his easiest route, i wanted him to put my 1.8 zetec in it.. but hes only 17 so doesnt wana be having too much power at the moment.

you can get quite a bit from a xflow mind. my my mate had a mk1 with xflow about 120 odd bhp and he said it went well like.

ha yea you have to love them OHV's theyre the best of the kent engines, quite light too

aye 120 odd bhp from the zetec is a bit much in a light RWD car as a new driver

besides a 2.0 pinto is about 110bhp and much easier to fit, and is period

Would love one of these and a 2.0ltr zetec dumped in


Saying that I was looking into getting anglia for daily use lol
