Small update :)

Dont know if any of you have heard, but Hadrian body panels went bust at the end of November (fooking recession! :x ), so not only are the genuine ford panels pretty much impossible to get, and stupidly priced when they do pop up, the best pattern parts are also very hard to get now too :doh:

Anyway, after alont of searching, I finally managed to track down a hadrian rear p/s wing for the RS in Northern Ireland! It was old stock and had been sat in the company's warehouse for years, so had a bit of surface rust, but other than that, was completely mint. Got it for an extremely good price too :D

Anyway, over xmas, I first sandblasted the panel, then sanded it further with wet and dry, then gave it a couple of coats of undercoat to stop any further rust. So its now mint and all ready to weld onto the car, am very pleased :)

Cheers guys, am so pleased I finally found one for the p/s, as this was the most important one for the resto, and typical, its the rarest one aswell. With it having the earlier mk3 fuel filler hole, they were discontinued earlier and so are stupidly hard to get

I have known people buy a mk3.5 rear wing, then cut out the filler area and weld a mk3 fuel filler hole into it before welding the whole thing onto the car, a load of messing around and not as perfect a job due to joints etc

Good find dave. im glad i got my panels when i did...and im some ways im glad i went genuine...my wallet wasnt it was only due to a very decent chap doing me a rediculous deal on them that they cost less than they should have. (still the cost of a straight nicely modded si with ticket and tax :lol: :red: )
i know the mk3 n/s rear 1/4s have been hard to find for a while and as you say people have been butchering 3.5 ones.
