the ibiza i raced didnt prove that lmao


they make 155PS standard, adding the actualy racing puma cams ecu exhaust and inlet can turn a normal 1.7 into the 155, (rarely) but fitting after market stuff and the frp inlet doesnt from what ive seen

Just bought a new head and its on the way

If needs be i'll get danny to change the pistons for me sometime :P but if it runs fine then it'll be fine :) i'll make sure it all gets check out before I start driving it properly again.

Hopefully all will be done tommorow night, we start at 7pm, if I am lucky my mate will crack on and we'll be done by 10-11, we were rocking it 6-9 last time so hopefully he can hack a bit more and get it done! if not sometime at the weekend hopefully.

Well if you're gonna do pistons might as well go all out if you can afford it, all steel bottom end maybe forge pistons for high comp and jenvey 45 tb's that should be an n/a animal that's if you can afford it

Ahh yeah, forgot about the mapping and shiz :lol: Remember to run them in soon as you start it up. Dont forget to hand crank it over without spark plugs in a few times, make sure nothing is knocking and it all feels smooth, then with the key, if all is good, plugs in, start it up and go. Might be worth spashing some oil or lube on the cams too, saves any wear or damage. Other than that, make sure everything is tight and torqued up this time :)

You can't do much to the bottom end. No uprated shells or anything.

i cant afford that stuff, i wouldnt want to spend it on a 1y either, looking at 2k for 10bhp? Lol im a cheapskate

Bit all over the place atm! Was meant to be done yesterday! but the tensioner is different on the cambelt so went to get another this morning only to be given the wrong one again!

Mate is getting one from his work today and will be over tonight and we are just going to crack on and finish it!

So far got my cams in the new head, the heads are all cleaned up ready just need the right bits now!

Should be done today and then just need to nurse it to the nearest garage for the bolt to be done up with a gun as theres no way it can be done by hand, but can be done enough to get it up the road lol seeing as it lasted 6 months before :doh:

Can easily do it by hand, how do you think its usually done when you do a cambelt at home? lol.

Put it in gear, foot on the brakes, get the other person to torque it up. Simple.

I gotta do mine with the engine out the car, so need to lock the crank somehow lol

they setting is 40nm and 90 degree you have to be hanging off it apparently and it still wont tighten enough

If my crank pulley can take a locking pin ill make one, dont think it does though.

You sure your ordering the right cambelt kit?
