You can only use disabled tax on your own car if you drive the person around as a passenger, or if you are doing errands like prescriptions or shopping.
Not for own use.
I know this all too well before anyone argues.

How do you prove that you run these errands or is it down to the disabled persons word?
For example my mum has her own car but if she was disabled and i picked up her prescription and helped with shopping would i account for this if she said i helped her?
Before anyone asks im not out to pull a scam because my mum isnt disabled lol.

aye my dad only has his capri, which i hardly uses and is tax exempt anyway, and he only uses it when no one else can take him, but yea i run him around usually, nothing better for me to do :/

anyway we both go to the post office and fill shit in and take mot etc certs like normal and its free, my mother gets it for her motability car too

maybe i shouldn't be shouting it about

And insurance is just a big gimmick, was looking at getting a ph1 172 clio, done a quote about 4 months ago came back as 1400 which I though great! Now its up to 1800! Fuck that!

it got damaged in the crash last year, didnt really notice the wires as they were covered in tape :(

oh thought you knew

umm a guy in front of my mate slammed on as he couldnt fit in to the lane coming off the onslip, he was being a cock

my mate behind him, in front of me, then had to slam on,
i was checking my mirror the mrs screamed i slammed on but hit my mate in his puma

his puma only had a cracked number plate and a missing towbar cover


on mine nothing damaging that lasted very long really, the bumper survived with just a tiny graze in the paint, my bonnet was dented up (when you come down with the car ill show you it, its still here)

head light was broken and so was the indicator (both passenger side)
worst of it was that the bump pushed my valance back, pushing the screw that holds the pas cooler, which then pierced my radiator, i struggled to make it to the hotel, the engine almost boiled itself waiting in the queues for ford fair itself, got so hot it sounded like a transit engine

on the way home i was filling it every 10-20 miles with water, stopping at every service station on the way


this boiling of the water had ruined my water pump gasket also, hence why going home was so much worse than getting to the hotel the day before, thanks to FF queues

so had to fit a new waterpump and gasket first thing, had to take time off work to do it lol, as well as fitting a spare radiator obviously


you can still see where the two cross members were bent a tad, but the rest of it is fine as new bonnet and headlamps etc
