all is in plan chaps :Dbugger it im going to give in because i cba. chris was the closest...

ive decided on candy green... if you don't like then suck my balls :D in all fairness i want to go 'out there'...

so 40mm suspension (new)
new magnex exhaust
refurbed wheels and toyo t1r's will all be getting purchased within the next month... however this is all down to whether my college courses are still getting funded.

once that is all sorted, ill be getting lower arms sorted then rear arbs n tha shit, front brakes sorted then ill be saving again for body shop then 1.6 xr2i engine :D but the car will have to come off the road for that as i want to tackle it myself and do a 'proper' job. but yeah. candy green bitches... ties in with my 'ben 10' bitch name on here. was going to go for candy red but candy green is welllll sexier. and people say my motor looks green sometime so dabbled there. shall be on a bit more now, been getting bummed everywhere.

peace

ha yes ;)

thanks lads. yes jonny, green, but candy green ;) who has an si on here that is a bit 'crazy' with its colour? just want to have a laugh but make it look good.

mates photoshopped it for me and it looks awesome so ill post that when he sends it me via emaillllllll.

however i have also hit a bit of a problem. i rang my college to see if my courses are getting funded and they've said no. i have several options but wont know until next week... so annoying having the money to be able to get my wheels done, buy my suspension, buy my new tyres, buy my new exhaust but i cant until i have shit sorted :( christ almighty.

Right snitches... been doing a lot of thinking recently and i think im way to undecided on what i want to do (wanting to get new suspension, new tyres, refurbed wheels etc) so this is the plan. i know i go on and on and on but i will be making it happen.

whilst i save for the body work and respray ill be 'repairing' the car, for once. several things need replacing/fixing etc so thats what will be done in between.

the body work and respray is what i want done first. i want a fresh canvas to work off, so i can decide how low i want to go, what set up i want etc. the wheels will be done when the body work is done...i have a bodyshop lined up, and a place to have my wheels refurbed. both very reliable.

next is the engine. ideally i want a 1.6 xr2i, but will be looking into sams xr2 depending on the ease of the job and reliability.

it will take alot of dedication and hard work on my behalf but im game, and when it comes round to it id love for anybody available to come and give me a helping hand. so i will be on the look out for an engine and the rest of the bits to get ready for after the body work. ideally the deadline is this year.

i will be posting pics at the weekend of the current state as its not the best! very excited making this final decision!

so advice, any offers, suggestions please fire them at me, want a full blown convo about all this that will go down, im wayyyyy to inexperienced to tackle this by myself :P so if im going down im bringing the lot of you buggers with me!

Plans sound good mate! I take it you are going to get a new door to replace the fucked one?

Suspension is easy to swap.

Engine is more complex, just make sure you have all the bits and also an engine crane to make life easy. Im sure someone on here would be willing to give you a hand! Everyone can give advice on here too if you need it.

I know you may want an easy swap on the engine, so a 1.6 cvh lump is the best option, but why not save up a bit more, get yourself a 2 litre lump, all the bits you need for it like inlet, maf, ecu, mounts and wiring loom and spend a weekend putting that in? Would be much more of an achievement. There is a complete guide to putting one into a cvh engined car here www.fiestaguides.co.uk/content/engine_conversion.html

Not read it through but I think andy skimps on the wiring a bit, not sure though. Either way, its possibleto do.

But of course, its upto you :)

Cheaper option would be the cvh lump

thanks danny for the input pal. suspension im confident on... door will be getting sorted... checked my sills arches etc and i dont think anything needs replacing (bar the wing thats damaged avec the door)

ive had a gander at a guide for the xr2 engine going into the mk3, seems alright, but because its older things will need changing (fuel pump seemed to be the main issue the lad had)

ill have a look defo but ill need to weld in an engine mount for the 2.0? and wouldnt i see the same gains with the 1.6 with mods such as throttle bodies? then again the power is there in the 2.0 and i felt the power of that in pauls and it was unreal!

engine crane should be sound... landrover specialist round the corner who im quite chummy with, might even let me use the ramp!

Nah you wont need to weld a mount, im 99% sure in all mk3's there are holes there for the mount to bolt into already. They are on the chassis rail. My old 1.3 had them.

Dont forget Pauls car is cammed and laying down 150 odd bhp. But technically you could see the same kinda power with throttle bodies ect, but that could add upto more in than getting a 2.0 sometimes.

Fuel pump shouldnt be an issle really, i know someone who ran a 2 litre on a 1.3 pump lol

All depends on what you wanna do and how much cash you got really :)

ill have a hard think, be back on again when im a bit more awake! ta for the advice bud... just had a scan over that conversion, some seems confusing but zetec seems more up to date imo. ill get deciding... ohh yeahhh
