how would you plumb that in?

fitting it to the orignal pump location sounds a right ball ache, specially with the belts, cover and chassis leg in the way


only other option i can think of is a inline one in a pipe somewhere, best be the right hand main rad to thermomstat pipe

Yeah it would have to be an inline pump, there isnt any way you could put it in where the orginal pump is

You have to gut the internals of the standard pump, and the electric one is inline.

New engine ideas, hopefully if my plan goes ahead perfectly over the next week I'll have something which can take 300bhp.

Also ideas on welding, bodywork, colour.

Have i missed something, 300bhp? Engine within the ford family?

Hopefully collecting a set of C20LET forged pistons already modded with Ford rods, and a 2.0ltr block which has been bored out and acid dipped.

All for roughly the same price as sourcing a 2.0ltr and buying the decomp plate etc.

The car might be getting resprayed Pearl Black after I re-do that inner panel and rear quarter next year at some point.

Right, sorted.
Collecting the parts in a few weeks.

Then I need to source a head, sump, maybe crank (dunno if he has one or not) so basically a shitter 2.0ltr lump will do me, and fiesta sump gear.

Then I can make a start on building the lump up, gradually adding parts as I go along.

Anyways..

Been reading into things...

The pistons I'm getting ate XE forged pistons and not the LET ones. Which are more suited to an 8v head for a lower comp ratio.

Still useable with the 16v but the comp ratio will be up around the high 8's depending on which gasket i use. Which is fine, low lag boost engine.

Due to this, I'm going to stick to finding an frs gt25 Turbo, as they are proven to push plenty of power.

Realistically I should be hitting 240-260bhp.. which tbh is good enough IMO.

Youll have to keep a price log up so we all know how much it costs to do a build like this, will be very interesting.

Yeah I'll be keeping a log.
Certain things will bump it up, but thats cause I'm being fancy.

No longer going to be running gauges all over the place. Will be running a 5" touch screen linked to megasquirt which will show all the info I need
