I've not been saying I want a turbo conversion for years at all, I've always said I wanted a bigger engine, which would be the 2 litre. So now I have that I have I have the engine which would be suited for a turbo conversion.

Insurance probably wouldn't be that much, its only about £400 fully comp at the moment as it is, my mums car isnt much more to insure on my own and thats a 1.8 225bhp audi tt

Zt wise... Once I have the megasquirt running on the NA lump, and a zetec lump sat infront of me, I'll have it done quite quickly, Turbo and megasquirt are the most expensive items I need lol

Okay scratch that, few on eBay. Although I don't have the coin now.

As long as they keep popping up ill use frs stuff.

The focus inlet I'm using is basically a frs item anyway, as I'm pretty sure they are the same as the NA ones.

Chris, I'm aiming £1500 at most which is doable IMO

Which should see 200bhp easily, and safely.

Well, the most I'll spend in one go is for the Megasquirt and wideband sensor kit... so if I don't include that on the engine build, I'll be 1k at most.

2.0ltr zetec are cheap, around 100,
decomp plate and all the engine gaskets will set me back a little over 100
already got arp conrod bolts,
already got paddle clutch
turbo & manifold 200-300

then its just odds and sodds, intercooler and pipework etc

bang on mate, most say it costs around £1000 on Ofab management for a safe 220bhp~ budget ZT, will be safer again on squirt as you can map it right for the fueling and timing etc and even more so with wideband



chris best ruite for you going ZT is the blacktop, they use the same centre engine mount design
