haha poor bearings, had a good nose at them while they were out, well the one thats loose in the drum nearest you, was in good nicka s far as you can tell really, reapplied some grease to them
im not expecting them to fail any sooner tbh these are good piece of kit, ive seen stupidly big ones used on programs like burney and leepo (sp) where they use like 2 inch spacers on each wheel lmao
in regards to the beam, it is a semi independant torsion beam so i wouldnt be supprised if the extra force bends it a bit under load...
in other news
tonight i was coming home from my mates and decided to give it some beans on a nice long national road, as i could a car up i edged off and braked but the engine wasnt slowing down, it was bouncing off 6k, shit myself and quickly turned the engine off and braked just a few metres from hitting the car infront, tried the engine againa nd still revving like the clappers, so knocked it back off and mounted a pavement ( was a quite road with mountain views on the side i pulled in)
grabbed the torch and have a nose, the throttle wouldnt fully close, now it was only about a 1/3 of the way open, took the inlet pipe off and it would shut if i forced it, thena s i was giving up putting my tools away ready to get it home (was literally less than a mile from home)
i noticed the throttle position potentiometer was loose and jammed with only one screw left on!
so my guess is thats stopping the butterfly from closing...
will take it off and see if i can dig out a suitable bolt tomorrow, very close call though, thanks to my quick reaction to what was happening
