looks good jon, I got some black fabric from a fabric shop my fiancee works at for nothing to do my rear seats, is that spray glue stuff any good?

yea!

very sticky and starts working straight away, just hold the fabric to the surface a few secs and it'll be stuck :)

the fabric i used was thick and tough, so bending it was hard, thats the only reason the glue struggled there

your best off using the screw caps already on the seats :)

These little works of art arrived from ratspeed (fiestaturbo.com) yesterday, and after checking them over they are made to a superb standard by eibach, he also sent me 2 sets of extended wheel studs

And ofcourse theyre 100% safe as theyre hubcentric spacers as you can see

my old spacers (still have these on the front)

Image

reason the studs are needed

Image
Image

drum off brake dust cleaned away, and studs pushed out of the drum

Image
Image

cleaned the threads with wire brush before fitting them ofcourse

Image

the 20mm extended studs are fitted in the splined holes via hammer blows, and checking the length

this is a before shot (drivers side)

After both sides

Summary
the extra 30mm wider track has spaced the wheels to nicely fill the arches, the camber has been changed dramaticly as you can see and all remaining safe, i can also add another 5mm by fitting my old spacers over the hubcentric ones and still be safe but ill see how these go for now

after a spint he car seems more stable and secure on the road, but its wet and dark atm also heavy traffic so ill give them a good test when its next dry

simple effect mod :)

nah i dont think so, standard Ford 108pcd, dont be fooled into thinking theyre multifit for 100pcd and 108, it fits the two seperate sets of holes

Looks good Jony. Hopefully it doesnt put too much stress on the wheel bearings :)

When you say the camber has been changed, thats a lie. You will never get any camber on the rear as its a fixed beam ;)

Filled the arches nicely. They do look alot safer than the normal shitty ones.

Nice mod!

really need to do this to ignis, but they are bloody expensive!!

be nice to see how long the wheel bearings last now.

haha poor bearings, had a good nose at them while they were out, well the one thats loose in the drum nearest you, was in good nicka s far as you can tell really, reapplied some grease to them

im not expecting them to fail any sooner tbh these are good piece of kit, ive seen stupidly big ones used on programs like burney and leepo (sp) where they use like 2 inch spacers on each wheel lmao

in regards to the beam, it is a semi independant torsion beam so i wouldnt be supprised if the extra force bends it a bit under load...

in other news

tonight i was coming home from my mates and decided to give it some beans on a nice long national road, as i could a car up i edged off and braked but the engine wasnt slowing down, it was bouncing off 6k, shit myself and quickly turned the engine off and braked just a few metres from hitting the car infront, tried the engine againa nd still revving like the clappers, so knocked it back off and mounted a pavement ( was a quite road with mountain views on the side i pulled in)

grabbed the torch and have a nose, the throttle wouldnt fully close, now it was only about a 1/3 of the way open, took the inlet pipe off and it would shut if i forced it, thena s i was giving up putting my tools away ready to get it home (was literally less than a mile from home)

i noticed the throttle position potentiometer was loose and jammed with only one screw left on!
so my guess is thats stopping the butterfly from closing...

will take it off and see if i can dig out a suitable bolt tomorrow, very close call though, thanks to my quick reaction to what was happening :o

That program, chop shop.... the name says it all lol. Bunch of bodge merchants!

Good job you didnt crash into another car or blow the engine, either one would have been a disaster!

Quite a scary call, accelerator and brake are the things you trust in a car, when one fails your fucked.
