we got a new parts cleaner in work as well, ill have to try it out and clean up a few of my fiesta bits..

well been ticking over with the xr2 for the past couple of weeks alot of cleaning and painting of parts so nothing really major to report

heres what ive done so far
cleaned painted and started to refit the fron suspesion components with new poly bushes and ball joints
hubs have also been cleaned painted and new bearings fitted.

also recivied my eibach camber adjustable front suspension bolts

been feeling really crappy so have done sweet fa but i have fitted the engine this evening

on the mk2 the shock bolts to the hub unlike the mk3 where it sits in the hub
the bolt goes in the top hole and is cam shaped so depending which way its turned will change the camber

fitted the front suspension today and removed the rear suspension and striped down the rear beam ready for refurb
hofully gonna get that refurbed

Love the car mate. Brings back tons of memories of being 17 and stoned. My mate owned one, it got ragged to hell and never gave up. He sold it to me for £50 and it sat on my drive as I could not afford insurance. Still, had the odd cheeky drive before it got raped for parts.

Quite possible that the mk2 xr2 is my fave hot hatch.

ive hit the fiesta hard this week and got a fair bit done
ive also got a few more parts aswell
first off ive had the rear beam and arb powder coated black
got myself an adjustable panhard rod and also a alloy rad and slim line fan

poly bushed the trailing arms

got all new rear shoes cylinder and fitting had a right nightmare fitting it all

rear beam and panhard rod all fitted up.
didnt realise till this morning that i didnt fit the bump stops so had todo them today and also fit the rear braided brake lines after sorting out the holese to make them fit

well today ive been cracking on with the engine bay
got a new altinator fitted, exhaust manifold sprayed up and back on, rad and fan fitted and also fitted the mondeo master cylinder and servo and dry fitted the silicone hoses

ive also gone mad with the under seal and waxoyle put in about 3 ltrs of waxoyle ontop of what the body shop did when they had it in

i have had a few issues aswell this weekend mainly with the rear arb as thats not fitted atm as the arb bushes wont fit with the arb brackets for some reason
