thanks guys, yeah im grand, bar my chest fecking killing me from the seat belt and 2 bruses at least the crash wasnt my fault, the problem is trying to find a mk3 over here that isnt in the scrappers or rusted beyond belief! hopefully a black rs turbo will be my next purchase have my eye on one in england but need to see what the story with insurance and all will be first just cant beleve its gone ya no, loved that car ! ah well, could have been worse

I think the airbag module acts as a shock sensor too. Because when i shook my spare module, it felt and sounded as if there was a g sensor in it. Like a hinged switch that makes contact when there is enough g's to swing it to the contact.
They do work on mk3's. But it needs to be enough force (That of your head hitting the wheel) - hence the airbags use
