weigh a ton!

i should of weighed everything i took out of the car.

being a fiesta though there wasnt anything really heavy as such.

carpet weighed a bit, and the sound deadening stuff.

a lad on the ignis owners stripped from his ignis

rear seats
rear doorcards
spare wheel
toolkit and jack
parcel shelf

and it all weighed 40kgs, which worked out an extra 5bhp per tonne.. and his ignis would have been abou 890kgs then.

i dont think ive taken 40kgs from the fiesta though..

was out with elward tonight went for a little blast, was trying to persude him to strip the arosa out, theres loads of weight to be lost in that.

popped down to see jony the other night, picked myself up an extra anti roll bar.

so the car will have a double one on the rear now once ive got 2 extra brackets for it. then i can fit it to the beam.

yeah arbs make a huge difference! the whiteline one i had on the arosa was just awesome like.

might order the bushes now rebuild the axle this week and then fit it on the weekend if its dry.

That engine bay is screaming out for a Mondeo Servo and Master Cylinder though. On another ntoe, the interior trim down the sides of the doors, how did you get them out? Been meaning to ask this of anyone lately as Haynes just says 'remove' and I've wrecked the plug/screw things on mine.

just checked the bushes they look right imo.

only thing is the roll bar bushes havent got a slit in them to fit them. so will need to fit a slit so they can slide over the bar.

didnt realise either that the rs2000 rear calipers are 2 pots!

axles been sat in the garage for a 1 and a half years so needs a good clean up and some fresh paint i think.
