This car seems more and more like a polished turd each day lol

More places to weld up now. And some interesting things with sealer, which involve some fun to weld up.

Be reet though ill get it done.

Repaired the brakes this afternoon, can stop proper again now.

Other than this I'm having a break from stuff, got some personal issues going on right now.

I am shocked at all the work youve had to do but once its done itll hopefully be problem free for a long time.

Thing is, its all been hiding under the extra underseal. And the typical fiesta issue points.

Well apart from a 4 inch hole in the arch next to the inner fuel hole, covered with black sealant. Need to take the suspension turret apart to get to weld it, as I obviously can't cut the rear quarter to bits without a respray job!

Ah well... it'll be solid.
New sills next summer too.

thats some bad luck there, seems fishy with all this underseal covering things..

The thing is, adding extra underseal over standard underseal is a bad idea, I don't care what people say. Its a trap for water, and causes more bad than good.

Thats what my dad says, he goes on about some wax or sumat thats best for not holding water

I might end up scraping the lot off and spraying a new lot of underseal on at this rate.

When you see pictures of it youd swear it was a mint shell but youve found holes, god help the mk3 fiesta that dont look like this, I bet there a million times worse lol.

alot of fiestas look like that!

Everything hides in the ford seam sealer and then just general weak spots.. I'm just happy the bodywork isnt shagged to death on it.

Stuff to do:

- Corner of boot floor
- NSR inner arch / inner fuel hole, requires the NSR suspension turret to be dismanteled to gain access, which will also need welding back up. Otherwise it would be a rear quarter cut off and respray.
- Inner rear arches where the brake lines brackets are welded on, thats shit thin metal, one side came off. So will repair both sides.
- Gonna make sure the rear valance and front valances are okay, and will stonechip them.
- Rip the rest of the underseal off the arches and underside of the car, repair anything else I find.. although the floorpan itself is looking pretty good.. then obviously re-underseal it all.
- Next year gonna do the full sills, and make a proper drain for the sunroof to stop it fucking the new sills up.
